First Semester: 2026 Academic Session

  • 19th August – 21st August 2026: Post UTME Screening of Aspiring Students.
  • 28th August – 30th August 2026: Admission Exercise for the 2026 academic year.
  • 29th August – 7th October 2026: Payment of Acceptance Fees, Online Clearance, Physical Clearance, Payment of School Charges, Registration of Old and New Students.
  • 15th September 2024: Resumption of Returning Students for the 2026/27 Academic Session.
  • 24th September 2024 – 26th September 2026: Lectures commence for both new and returning students.
  • 11th October 2026: Orientation Exercise for New Students.
  • 11th October 2026: Matriculation Ceremony.
  • 20th December 2026 – 5th January 2027: Christmas Break for students and staff.
  • 5th January 2026: Students return from Christmas break.
  • 17th January 2026: End of First Semester Lectures.
  • 20th January – 24th January 2026: Revision Week.
  • 27th January – 14th February 2026: First Semester Examinations.

Second Semester: 2026 Academic Session

  • 2nd March 2026: Students resume for the second semester.

  • 30th May 2026 – 21st June 2026: Second Semester Examinations.
  • 2nd June – 6th June 2026: Revision Week.
  • 21st June – 9th August 2026: End of Session Break (6 weeks).
  • 10th August – 14th August 2026: Faculty and Business Committee meetings to consider sessional results.
  • 14th August 2026: Senate meeting to consider results.

Key Highlights for New Students

The academic year kicks off with the Post UTME screening in August 2024, and successful candidates will undergo admission processing before their official registration. New students will have an Orientation Exercise in October to help them acclimate to university life. The Matriculation Ceremony scheduled for December marks the formal admission of new students into the university.
